MY CITY

LOS ANGELES

EDI INDERBITZIN

Swiss-Mexican photographer and creative Edi Inderbitzin has lived in a ton of varied places. - His career in advertising kicked off in Hamburg, Germany, before taking him to Miami, Florida and then to Boulder, Colorado. He later took an around-the-world backpacking trip to re-energize and to work on his photography skills, before landing in Los Angeles, a city he now calls home.

In addition to the high profile campaigns, clients, and many awards in his career, Edi still finds time for his own creative projects, like the amazing Every Waking Hour project. – The project involved Edi taking a photo every waking hour for 365 days. The aim? To show that those imperfect, raw and real moments in between the ‘Instagrammable’ snapshots can be equally as beautiful.

We were pretty sure Edi would have some great recommendations for places to check out in LA. Here are 5 of his favourites…

VENICE BEACH

People-watch the world go by

"It has everything and is great for people watching! You find great food, dive-bars, snobs, skaters, bodybuilders, start-up hustlers living next to each other."

//

STUNT ROAD

One for the adrenaline junkies

"Stunt Road, starting on the Westside, is a really fun "race-track" if you like to drive a little bit faster and love tight turns."

//

PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY

Drink in the views

"PCH - Pacific Coast Highway is a beautiful scenic drive. You can start in Santa Monica and drive all the way to Santa Barbara and enjoy the water and beaches on the way."

//

HINANO CAFÉ

The best burger in town

"Hinano Café is one of the best dive bars in Venice and has the best burger on the Westside. Hands down. Ask to add Swiss AND cheddar to it. You'll thank me later ;)"

//

GRAND CENTRAL MARKET

Food + culture

"Grand Central Market in Downtown LA is a lot of fun, has great food and from there you can walk around the area and go to the Broad, Disney Music Hall or take a walk to the arts district and its breweries."
